Missed out on a class? There’s now a waitlist!

Until now, when a place came up on a fully booked class, the only way I could let people know was through the mailing list. It worked, but it meant the people who wanted that particular date had to be on the list, open the email in time and then go and book. From today, every fully booked class at The Woodturning School has its own waitlist.

How it works

When a date is full, you’ll see a ‘JOIN WAITLIST’ link on the class page. Click it, leave your details, and you’ll receive a confirmation email. It costs nothing and doesn’t commit you to anything. If you’re hoping to come with a friend, you’ll each need to join separately.

If a place opens up, the website texts everyone on the waitlist for that date at the same time. The text includes a link to book, and the place goes to the first person to complete their booking. Please make sure your mobile number is correct when you join, because that’s how the text will reach you.

The waitlist runs until seven days before the class. Booking from it works just like any other booking, with the usual 30 per cent deposit to secure your place.

Book a date as well

Places don’t come up very often, so a waitlist is a chance rather than a promise. If the date you want has gone, it’s worth booking the next available date too. If a waitlist place then comes up more than 14 days before your original date, you can move your booking to it yourself, free of charge, using the Change Booking link in your original confirmation email.

Late availability

Any places that come up in the final seven to fourteen days will still go out to the mailing list and on social media, so it’s worth staying signed up and following along.
