Woodturning Experience Day
Start the day with a coffee at 9am and meet your professional tutor Martin and enjoy the anticipation of what awaits you at the school. By 9:30, you’ll be in the workshop, the scent of fresh wood all around you, standing at the lathe and ready to try something completely new. The tools are in your hands, the timber is waiting, and the adventure begins.
Spend the day turning raw wood into two unique pieces: a sleek pen, and your very first bowl. Each project builds your confidence, challenges you to push a little further, and leaves you with the thrill of seeing your work take shape before your eyes.
Groups are kept small so you get personal support while still feeling the excitement of doing it yourself.
Everything is provided: timber, tools, safety gear, and even lunch to recharge before the afternoon session. By 4pm, you’ll walk away with your handmade creations and the unforgettable feeling of having tried a new skill in just one day.
This is a day of experiencing woodturning with the focus on having fun in the workshop rather than and in-depth learning day. For a more in-depth lesson on tooling and turning, please see our Two Day Beginners Class.
